All 2012 LMO applications for pilots

Post by Gilles Hudicourt »

Last year, I sent an Access for Information Request to ESDC to ask to see all LMO applications for pilots that they received from all Aircraft Operators throughout Canada during Calendar year 2012.

I received the CD in the mail today. 6547 pages altogether.

These documents also include those LMO applications that were turned down.

I have not yet looked at these documents, nor are they yet indexed by company. I am however sharing them with the pilot community at large.

Minimum wage is irrelevant since HRSDC looks at the median wage for the particular profession, which in Canada for pilots is somewhere in the mid $30s per hour, again according to HRSDC.

30$/hr is a fair pay for flight instructors or parachute dropping but not representative for helicopter pilots or crop duster pilots...
Do you have a source? I guess they use statistic Canada numbers?

Median wage is also irrelevant for pilots, except if they have an elaborated scale for all the pilots jobs on the market.
