INRAT 2005
OK I'm sure there have been chats about this but I'd appreciate any recent insight. Gotta write the instrument exam soon, can anyone throw me a bone?
Thanks guys/gals.

Hey Hover-Pig,
I did the INRAT a couple months ago, I wish I did the aerocourse but I did the other one. Definetly know your CAPGEN but dont bother memorizing word for word, as I was given CAPGEN pages as appendices. The questions that really stumped me were the 4 or 5 questions on icing and wx. radar know them - i realy didnt bother studyin icing in all that much detail and prolly got burned on some of those. Other than that its not really that bad, just practice giving yourself scenarios for alternate minimas, ADF intercepts and readin the RAC like costermonger said will defintely help you.
thats my 2 cents...Good luck....

I did the INRAT 2 days ago. I took the Aerocourse 4 months ago (knowing nothing about IFR) and never wrote the exam because i was in the middle of univ. exams. However, the notes from that carried me through my own 'cram session' and i passed the test studying mainly by the aerocourse workbook. Like everyone said - think i through, draw the pictures. if you can UNDERSTAND the stuff - it'll be cake. but for the money, id recommend the Aerocourse weekend and then write the test right away.
(about the exam itself, seriously - its much like the aerocourse workbook - study that)
