TSB Occurrence No: A15A0054
The Halifax flight information centre (FIC) reported that a Maritime Air Charter Beech A100 (C-FDOR) from Halifax, NS (CYHZ) to Margaree, NS (CCZ4) slid off the runway at CCZ4. No reported injuries but there was damage to the aircraft.
Update JRCC SARSAM report #A1P - 161936Z. Margaree Aircraft Accident (462055N 0605959W - CCZ4: MARGAREE, NS). 911 advised that Halifax flight information center (FIC) reported an aircraft accident at Margaree NS. Further investigation revealed that an Beech A100 aircraft (C-FDOR) had skidded off runway with 4 people on board (POB). There were no injuries. TSB notified. Case closed [H2015-01182].
UPDATE: TSB REPORT #A15A0054: The Beech King Air A100 (C-FDOR) was on a charter flight from Halifax, NS (CYHZ) to Margaree, NS (CCZ4). There were two passengers onboard to be dropped off at Margaree. The aircraft landed hard on Runway 01 about 263 feet from the threshold. The right main gear collapsed and the right propeller first contacted the runway surface 82 feet beyond the initial runway contact point. The aircraft remained on the runway surface with the right wing, engine nacelle and propeller in contact with the surface until approximately 1700 feet down the 2500 foot long runway. At this point, the aircraft veered off the right side of the runway at approximately a 30 degree angle to the runway heading. The final resting position of the aircraft was 1850 feet from the threshold of Runway 01, 22 feet from the runway edge and 90 degrees from the runway heading. There were no injuries. The occurrence took place during daylight hours. The emergency locator transmitter did not activate.
