Airport Maps?

Post by PZL 1000 »

Hi Folks,

Normally I don't need airport maps but I am venturing in to the world of multi engines and find myself in need. Being to cheap and poor to buy a flight supplement, I'm looking for a website to get them from.

Any help would be appreciated.

Let me get this straight - you are too cheap to purchase or obtain a flight supplement but can afford to fuel a twin ??

Try fltplan.com.

But be careful - not all their info is upto date. I caught a frequency that was wrong last week.

Thanks Jason I'll try it out. Yeah I'm too cheap just because the airplane I fly next will have a copy in it and they expire. Plus, I needed it tonight. Anyways thanks again.

Excuse my ignorance, but if you're going cross country, isn't the CFS a requirement? Or at the very least a wise idea given the chance of divert? Even if you grab someone's recently expired CFS if you don't want to fork out the cash for a current one?

If you have a phone or tablet (who doesn't?), just download the FltPlan Go app which includes free CFS.

Well, judging by the number of times I've seen it, you could always use an out of date, expired CFS or other document if it is labelled ..... "For Reference Only" or another alternative phrase is to write on it ... "Uncontrolled copy" and leave it around the flight planning or maintenance areas so that staff can use the expired version.

After all, the expiry dates idea is only a cash grab to force people to buy new ones.
