No news is good news. Your time waiting depends on your experience and qualifications. So if you have a degree, 705 jet PIC experience, etc… You’ll get put to the top of the list. If you have less experience, not much PIC, no postsecondary etc… It’ll take longer for them to get to you. So no news is good news.
The HR system at AC is a weird animal.
I've seen people with 2200 TT no 705PIC but a degree to be called. I've seen others with no degree and no 705 PIC and 2500TT getting called.
I've also seen 705 PIC captain with 4500TT not even getting called for an interview...

The thing that could also make the file processing a bit slower is either the references taking their time to reply to AC or the MMPI test being either not good or the company processing the test losing the test in the system hence delaying giving the results.
Thanks for the heads up everyone, I would wait and see what goes on.
Did mine late november as well and still nothing, FYI. +2000TT/+1000h 705. Hopefully soon!

Imagine sweat shops in China. That is pilots in this country.
Being illiterate is a key staple of many posters on the internal pilot forums.

Now, being illiterate AND trying to sound like an economist, lawyer, accountant

AC should mandate an annual literacy test. Hooked on Phonics for Jazz-stronauts would be "wokefully" fair.

Those of you who did interview in November, how many of you have gotten a background check request or heard anything?

I did mine towards the end of November and heard nothing from them. I have checked in twice with them and was told my file is still pending and awaiting a final decision. I also haven't received the background check request either. So I guess you're not the only one in that boat. Nothing was said about the medical or psych eval, so I am assuming all is well on that end, Background 4200 jet time TT 4400+/ with aviation Msc.

Usually a hiring pause during the summer and it starts back up in September (last year they hired throughout the summer but they only started hiring in the spring).

Hiring will carry on throughout the summer. Potentially a slight tapper in numbers but from what I've been made aware of hiring will continue through summer 2023.

Considering the number of new hires, there is bound to be a tapper amongst their numbers!

8000+ TT with 500+ PIC 737 and university degree.

Haven’t been able to get an interview since posting went up in the spring.

Anyone else with a similar background hearing nothing?

Yup I’ve heard of a few drivers in your situation and yet plenty of sub 3000 hours are getting the call.

AC works in mysterious ways

There are rumours that they still want to get to 6000 pilots by summer 24. They’re running classes every 2 weeks now.

AC will need the extra 1000 to do the Express flying. Will also need to review NB fleet requirements.
