Next Jet ?
Just saw recently in the news "NextJetCanada" starting service between Peterborough, Kitchener, Gatineau, Montreal. Does anyone have any info on where bases are located or what type of fleet they have? Anybody out there have any info on hiring requirements? Nice to see someone flying from the peterborough airport. Not much info on their website...just curious.

Re: Next Jet ?
It's being run through ., so bases would most likely be YUL (doesn't run through YUY) and it appears the King Air is the only aircraft branded as Nextjet at this point. This is just me connecting the dots from everything I have seen. My best guess is that .'s pilots are in the cockpit. Their hiring requirements are listed on .'s website.
Re: Next Jet ?
Next jet is a travel agency using .'s AOC.
They will be doing flights from Montreal to Gatineau, Peterborough and Kitchener. They are using the 100 for now with a possibility to use the 1900.
So yes, in order to do this flights you would have to be hired at ., you get initialy based in YUY before you can get a transfert in YUL.

A travel agency based out of a hanger office in Vancouver, starting a charter service in Ontario and Quebec, using somebody else"s AOC and planes. Yea that sound about right for the NextJet brand of aviation.
People don"t give up their copyrighted brand name unless its making lots of money and they offer you lots more money to buy it. just say"n.

Interesting.
If it works, and they can create safe, reliable jobs, all the power to them.

Re: Next Jet ?
So they are putting 19 passengers on a 9 seat Beechwood 1900???
Nextjet Canada’s first flight is leaving from Peterborough Airport on Monday.
The inaugural flight is taking 19 passengers to Montreal via Ottawa each way before returning to Peterborough that day.
It will be carrying local dignitaries, business people and media to kick off its first run.
Nextjet’s official service starts May 30, running Monday through Friday.
It’ll offer chartered flights to the Region of Waterloo Airport in Kitchener, Gatineau Airport and Dorval Airport.
Flights have a stopover at each destination along the route from Kitchener to Montreal, with passengers picked up in Peterborough at 7:20 a.m.
Evening flights will leave Montreal at 4:30 p.m., arriving in Peterborough at 6:30 p.m.
Nextjet is starting out with 9-seater planes, but they’ll move up to larger aircrafts if needed.

Re: Next Jet ?
dash8dave, there's no such think as a Beechwood 1900. It's a reporter's inability to fact-check. NextJet will be operating Beechcraft 1900s, which have 19 seats. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beechcraft_1900 In case you care, GGN operates them, painted in crybaby blue.
The whole 9-seater plane is another reporter screwup. Should say 19-seat.
Best of luck to them (and for their sake, may fuel prices stay low).
