Hey everybody!!
Im trying to look for any imfo about who or how to conatct airlines for reciprocal jumpseat agreements. I joined the jumpseat.alpa.org website recently, however it does not really give much information for trying to contact airline repa for this. If anybody could give me some information it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking the time, safe flying to all

Re: Info about trying to negotiate reciprocal jumpseat agree
Try to find the person at an airline that is responsible for negotiating this stuff(ie the interline agreement person). There are actually conferences around the world at least yearly where the airlines representatives go. The smaller companies of course are trying to get deals with the bigger companies which may or may not be interested.
I used to commute to work and wanted a backup airline zed fare ticket agreement. I wanted my company to get a deal with a rapidly expanding airline, but it took two years of bothering our company representative to finally get off their ass and do something about it which finally turned out to be just a matter of them simply following up with making contact with this companies representative(after I had actually made initial contact) to go through the bureaucratic process of organizing an agreement.
It was frustrating for me but finally the deal happened and it ended up saving my ass by allowing me an alternative company to get me to work the night before starting a flight.

I went through this with a smaller company I once worked for. The deal is, you have to have a regular scheduled route and the other airline has to have a pilot who would use that route in order to commute to get to work. When and if that is the case, contact the reciprocal department (all airlines have a dedicated person or department) with your query.
Good luck.
Good luck.
