Is now required to work the ramp at North Wright. Congrats Canada, we've hit a new low.

Its only for a year or so. So you can put all that education to good use chucking bags, and, of course, your flight skills will be improving so you will eventually be offered a job doing what you went to school to do...

Not Canada's fault; not the industry's fault. They can advertise for whatever they like. It is the idiots that buy into the " if I don't there are 50 behind me who will" that are bringing it down.

I would hope at least some of them ask how they are better qualified or experienced to fly an airplane after a year on the ramp. ........

........in Norman wells! I lived, worked in, and enjoyed the north for many years, but Norman Wells is not a place I would ever want to live. Which is why, I suspect they dangle the carrot to pilots. They simply could not ge t rampies to work in those conditions, for those wages, unless they promissed them something.......the locals know what wages they would want to work outside in the winter.
