Just out of curiosity, what's the going rate for a crashpad in YYZ? What does the rate include? Typically how far away from YYZ are they located?

Depends on what you want to get. Some closer to the airport (3## Dixon) run around 220-250$ month but don't count ongoing out at night, rough part of neighbourhood and when it's full you might be sharing with 8-10 guys. If you find a decent place to rent, split it with other pilots and enjoy a nice area, sign a 1 year agreement between all.
