My experience with these guys was so unprofessional. I would never work for the peanuts they are offering. so good luck whoever takes this shady job.

My experience with these guys was so unprofessional.
They have been flying Navajo's on that route since the eighties and as far as I l know they have yet to have an accident.

In what way did you find them unprofessional?

As to pay it may be low but one will get to build twin IFR time flying in fairly busy airspace.

So for a low time pilot I think they are a good place to work.

So I'm not wrong when this is the first thing I think of when I hear their name?

Just curious as to what people think "low pay" is these days.

Is 40k+ for a Navajo left seat "low"?

Better pay flying a navajo as a Capt. than the other 'ho operators on the coast...

Tofino and qualicum beach skeds with the occasional gillies bay. Not a bad gig.

Exactly Rowdy for a pilot wanting to gain experience there are far worse jobs than flying for KD Air.

They are located in one of the best places in Canada and the route is at sea level and short legs into a busy IFR airport.

As to pay there is a reality, if you feel you are worth more than they offer don't apply.

They fly Navajo's not Boeing's therefore they can not pay big airplane wages.

When I was contacted by them earlier this winter I was told $24K a year for left seat :| ..... Maybe that was a mistake? (Probably not!)

24K for left seat does not seem to make a lot of sense. For right seat though I would not be surprised.

I would be interested in some additional info if possible.

Thank you !

Just want to chime in here and say that the owner is a stand-up
guy.

I had the opportunity to get to know him and his wife about two
years ago - its a very tightly knit mom-and-pop type of operation.

Unfortunately the position didn't suit my situation at the time.
However, if I had been at a different stage in my career I would
have certainly considered working there.
