Hello fellow AVCANADA users, i'm a graduate of Mohawk College A/C Maintenance program, an am currently enrolled in the Fanshawe College Avionics Maintenance program. Needless to say i'm loving learning about A/C system's but i don't really have much guidance on what i should plan on doing after school. If anybody could share with me what they have done to become successful professionals in this industry i would be glad to hear what advice you might have.
Thanks
AME student looking for some advice.

Re: AME student looking for some advice.
I am not an AME myself, so I have limited advice, but if you are young in life and not tied down by mortgages and other such things, I would recommend looking at companies with a wide variety of aircraft types. Many of these companies are off the beaten path, so even the good ones have some natural turn over due to their location.
You may not know this yet, but you may not know what you want in a career. Working on a variety of aircraft, will give you the foundation to get the job you want, maybe where you want, when you figure it all out.
Of course, if you do know what job you want in the end, I recommend chasing that one now. If you don't have the qualifications for it, then look for companies/jobs that offer you the specific qualification you need.

So you did the AME Basic 'M' course...and are doing the 'E' course as well?
