CPL Dual XC
I've got 2.9 night dual XC hours.
I have another 2.1 XC hours left to fullfill the CPL dual XC requirement.
The CARS says 2 of those 5 hours can be done at night. Does the extra .9 count as well towards the total requirement, or is that a maximum of 2 hours that can be counted?

Re: CPL Dual XC
There is no maximum on night dual x-country or minimum on day dual x-country. If you wanted to, all 5 hours of dual x-country can be flown at night. But at least 2 of those 5 have to be at night.

Re: CPL Dual XC
And if you haven't dug into it yet, I'd highly recommend you do your CPL XC's at night to get a head start on what seems to hang up most future-ATPLs... the 25 night XC PIC requirement.
Do it now or forever complain about how you have to rent a plane.

Re: CPL Dual XC
Good point raised by ThatArmyGuy.. Just make sure the night x-countries are PIC though. Makes no difference whether the dual x-country is by day or by night as far as preparing for the ATPL is concerned.
