Clarification on Medical Validity for CPL holder

Post by maturepilot83 »

A CPL holder requires a CAT 1 medical.

If that CPL holder is not flying for hire or reward, the medical validity period under the age of 40 years is 60 months and above 40 years 24 months.

If that CPL holder is hired on with a Commercial Air Service, he/she must renew their CAT 1 medical every 12 months. However, the validity period of a medical certificate is reduced to 6 months if

the holder of the licence is 40 years of age or older and is conducting a single-pilot operation with passengers on board; or
the holder of the licence is 60 years of age or older.

Correct?
