Hey Proline 21 gurus....
I'm still new with these plastic brains....
So, the other day I get a clearance "...descend to 6000, be level 30 miles before BALLZ intersection..."
assuming I have BALLZ in my flight plan already, how do I input this into the FMS? BALLZ/-30 ???
I read the user manual, but still not clear to me...
Thanks for the assist

Click on the desired waypoint add /-30 then click back ontop of the desired waypoint.
Put 6000 ft into the vnav side of the fms then engage vnav and take sip of coffee.

I wonder how people ever did it before these magic boxes?
Another fun one is planning descents through multiple sector altitudes.
Say your IF is in a lower sector, but you have to cross a higher sector before you get there. IDX > FIX to create 25 nm rings and radials, then create user points where your direct track crosses each. Put 100nm or AMA altitude as xxxxA on the first one crossing the ring, put higher sector altitude as xxxxA on the second one crossing the radial, check your slopes on the LEGS page and sit back and let VNAV do all of the work.
