SUNWING Hiring.
Hello all,
Sunning has posted a job ad for F/O positions. I haven't found a lot of info and I don't currently know anyone working there.
What are the conditions like?
Days off? Schedule? Bidding system? Upgrade times? Benefits?
Overall environment?
Any info would be great. Thanks.
Brian.

Thanks. I have read through that thread as well as the out dated posts from years past. There isn't much detailed info on the topics I asked about. I was hoping to get first hand info from a current pilot. Fingers crossed.

Working conditions are goood. Minimum days off in a month are 11 but you will have more than that, I rarely work more than 12 days a month unless it's overtime.powerbrian wrote:Hello all,

The schedule is done on a seniority based bidding system.
The most junior upgrade in the most recent batch was I believe around 3 years. I would expect it to be longer than that in the future. Hard to say though.
As for benefits We have dental and medical with some RRSP matching.
I love it here. The flying is good, the crews are great and the layovers are fun. With overtime you can make some seriously good money here. The European deployments available in the summer are also a blast.

Re: SUNWING Hiring.
Have the calls gone out yet for the August 14th GS? How many are they really looking for in 2017?
Re: SUNWING Hiring.
Is it confirmed that the August class starts the 14th?
Re: SUNWING Hiring.
joey..if this new regulation (duty times..rest..) comes into effect, apparently they might need 20 to 30% more pilots..so it means around 100.(are they gone hire 100 F/Os and upgrade 50 senior F/Os..who knowns, this is just a corridor's rumor and I don't have a cristal ball .

When this was evaluated a couple of years ago at SW I heard the efficiency hit was 17%. May have changed based on the current flying schedules.
Re: SUNWING Hiring.
Does anyone know if there is a confirmed groundschool on the 14th, and if so, have calls gone out yet?
