Cat 1 Medical Vision Requirements

Post by shivam282 »

Hey everyone, I will be doing the Cat 1 Medical soon and I recently took one of those online vision tests where I was about a metre away from my screen(as I was asked to be) and did the test and my results were 6/12, or 20/40 in the old measurements. I remember when I was younger my vision was 20/20. Is 6/12(20/40) vision good enough for the Cat 1? I also know that the online tests are probably no where near as accurate as the real life ones in front of a doctor, but I just decided to ask anyway. Thanks.

You need 20/30 or better in each eye (corrected or uncorrected). Just book an eye test and buy glasses if you have to. I believe you'll need to do this before your medical.

As long as you're 20/20 corrected, you should be OK.
Without my glasses, I can't even read the big 'E' (20/200?). With, I'm 20/20, and about 60% on the 20/15 line...
