Some time ago on a music thread someone recommended the band "Tool".
I am now hooked on the band. Thanks a lot. 8)

Tool kicks ass, although they need a new album.

Unfortunately, ska even sucked 8 years ago when it was popular. Every brass/horn instrument should be filled with cement and tossed into the ocean, so we never have to be subjected to those annoying sounds again.

Guess you don't know much about the ska genre... Desmond Decker has been rocking as the KING OF THE SKA since the 1960's. And he is f-in awesome. Even as an old man today he is still layin it out in big shows in Europe. The Ganja smoked by those Jamaicans seems to give them a long career... guys like Toots and Burning Spear have been seemingly non-stop touring for 35 years.

Anyways someone should fill your mouth with cement, so we never have to be subjected to those annoying sounds again.

I like music - most of it.

OK, take it easy, not trying to offend or criticize anyone, just trying to stir it up a little bit, generate a little more interest in the thread. I know ska has been around for a long time, I'm just saying it was most commercially popular roughly 8 years ago (if my memory serves) when bands like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and No Doubt were cashing in on the brief craze.

There's an endless variety of music out there and I like alot of it, from the heaviest metal to folk to classical to yes, even rap. To each his own.

One thing is sure though, Led Zeppelin will always kick serious ass.

What's in your CD/MP3 player these days?
Mine: Incubus, Brand New, Green Day, Deftones among others.

OK sorry if I came down too hard... I like LZ to, especially the real bluesy feeling stuff.

Anyone else into roots/blues. I'm pretty into Mississippi John Hurt and Son House right now.
