Try Pro IFR, you should be able to it all in a Red Bird sim for way less than in the actual aircraft.

Can you still do it in a Redbird? Transport had made some changes to the requirements... Anybody know if this has changed?

Yes, you can complete an IPC in a Redbird. We do them regularly at my school.

The problem was that the redbird's GNS530 can't be used, so you can't do any RNAV approaches (which were required). However TC has now said that you don't need to do an RNAV approach after all (either in a Redbird or in an actual plane). So unless there's some other issue with the Redbird, it should be fine to use. Your examiner will be able to confirm that.

How long is the average time frame to do an IPC and what exercises do you have to show competency. Is there a test at the end of it or a sign off?

Trying to find it on TC.

Thanks
