Workopolis. No views.

Post by shankdown »

Hey, Guys. I'm curious as to whether or not I've done something wrong with my Jazz application on workoplis.com. I applied there on the 20th of October, and Jazz hasn't looked at it even once. Seems to me, I've screwed something up, but when I review it, it all looks normal. Have they done all their selecting? Any info would be helpful, thanks.

I don't think you have to worry about them having done their selecting. Hiring rate will double from 22 per month to 44 per month for the forseeable future.

Shankdown;

It is possible you just created a profile without actually applying for the job. Sounds funny, but you can just create a profile without applying. Go into your "job list" and see if the Jazz job is in there. If not, go down to the bottom and hit "apply" (I think that is under the job listing itself, not under your profile, but I may be wrong--it is somewhere around there)

Quick test: Did you have to answer a little 20 point questionaire? If not, you haven't applied yet.

Hope that was it.

Steve

Rat,

44 a month? That sounds like a lot. Are you sure about this?

I hope so. :D

Positive,
I have some friends on th 31st of October course and they were 23 or so.
I have talked to the guys giving the sim eval. and they said 40/month.
90 RJ seats openned in YYZ and 40 RJ seats in YUL.....plus the dashs positions!
They seemed very pleased about so much initiales to do!
It seems that they dropped their minimums also. Freinds with 2000TT + got a couple views on workopolis. They started at 4500TT + last July. Looks like there are not many pilots left around.

Good luck to all of you.

Correct that to 75 RJ seats left in YYZ. The current class took 15 of them last week. Total class size : 22

From what I know, next GS will have 12 CRJ, 8 DH8. The mid december will have 5 CRJ, 15 DH8. There's still a few YYC and YVR DH8 spots left.

How and when do they decide who gets what equipment in the class?

Someone actually had the same concerns: changing an answer on the questionarre. He contacted workopolis and was told that you could not edit that part.
Try to make another username and then just do another application. That would be the only way.......from what I heard.

You will be given a seniority number which they pick out of a hat for every class. Whoever gets picked first gets first dibs on whatever equipment and base is available. Everyone gets YYZ base for the first few months but you can bid on a vacancy at another base from the last equipment bid. Upon the effective date of the vacancy you bid on you will be able to go to your new base. Effective dates are usually around 3-9 months after the equipment bid. Hope that helps.
