YWG Onsite Assessment - 2019

Just got an email this morning requesting me to attend the onsite assessment step two weeks from now. I've skimmed through other responses and posts so I'd love to get some fresh advice and feedback on what the assessment is like and what I can do to best prepare myself!
Attached was the 8-page pdf of preparing for the w-SIM.

Invite received by e-mail this morning! Will be flying out on the 20th to attend the assessment on the 21st!
Same, went through the wSim questions. Not sure how accurately they compare to the difficulty of the actual assessment though.

I did the actual assessment about 2 years ago and from what I remember the w-sim practice questions were very similar to what was on the real test. The w-sim I thought was the easiest section of the test. There was a vocabulary section where they give one word and 5 options to choose from , and you were required to choose the word closest in meaning. I believe there were 50 of these questions. There was also a math section, also with 50 question. There was a listening section as well. That’s what I can remember from my assessment but as I said it was over 2 years ago.

Oh nice! How'd it go for you?
Honestly, I expected more people to be there, but I think we only had what, 15-ish?

Updated as of today. "Status: Interview"
Looks like I passed

I was sure I was a goner with the voice recordings. It says that my application is under YWG though, which is where I did the assessment so that makes sense, however, I was the one who applied through the YVR region so here's hoping that goes back and I join the YVR pool.
Otherwise, Winnipeg might be stuck with me.

Yeah it looked like 15.
I didn't find it too bad, only answered about 10 questions from the audio portion though.

I’ve heard that they are no longer doing the phone interviews and just the in person interviews. Is that correct?

Not too sure, but I did just check the FAQ's on the Take Charge website;
"We are hiring in Winnipeg. Candidates who would like to be considered for Air Traffic Control opportunities for Fall of 2019 should have the online application and testing completed by March 23, 2019."
Maybe they're lining up another assessment soon-ish. And maybe we'll find out the results for the March interviews soon.

I also received an invite to FEAST. Are you doing anything to prepare? Have any of you gone through the previous testing before?

This is all a first for me.
From everything I've read, there does not seem to be a whole lot that can be done to prepare other than to show up well rested.
Furthermore, it seems to me that it may be better in the long run if you do not do much to prepare, as again, from what I have read either one possesses the aptitude for this test and this job or one does not.
Personally, I would like to know if I have it or not as early in the process as possible. This test should be a good indication of that.
Just my 2 cents.

YWG just started a IFR course earlier this week. The upcoming feast testing will be for the fall classes.

Hey guys. I received an invite for the on-site assessment in Moncton. Is this the first part of the recruitment process? I didn’t receive an attached document for preparing for the sim? Is this normal? Thanks

Hi everyone
Has anybody who took the FEAST test during the April 13th-28th time period heard back yet or received an invitation to the next step?

I did FEAST on Apr 13th. Still haven't heard anything. My takecharge profile still says assessment although it says "step completed" now that FEAST is done. On the plus side it doesn't say DNMF... so yeah, I got that going for me.
