Hi all,
Has anyone been at wilderness north lately? Would they take pilots with 250 hrs on the beaver in YQT? Just curious about the operation.... seems like a very cool and fun job to do!

Re: Wilderness North
Just to clarify they don’t fly a beaver out of Thunder Bay. I don’t work there but as I understand some maintenance is done out of Thunder Bay but there float aircraft are all based in Armstrong in the summer.
I do however know for a fact they hire 200ish hour guys and train them on the caravans out of Nakina.
I would give them a call and ask if you would be able to come in. If your a college student they might look harder at you knowing that your interested enough to come in. It may be better to call first, explain your situation and see if they can show you around the hanger.
Either way good luck man and don’t be afraid of checking out all the northern operators. There is an amazing country to see out there, especially once you get out of the city.
