Fuel used per hour
on a Cessna 180. What are you Cessna 180 owners getting? What do you normally fight plan on average per hour with an engine properly working on floats?
Re: Fuel used per hour
They have different engines, are you looking for one engine in particular?
Re: Fuel used per hour
As a general rule of thumb. You can expect 1gallon per hour/ 20 hp. So if your C-180 produces 230 hp, you can expect and flight plan for 11.5 gph. Likewise, if you operate a C-185/206 at 300 hp, your looking at 15 gph.
Hope this is helpful. ( 1 gallon/ 20 hp/ hr.)

Going back a while....
0470, 23 square, full rich, could get up to 14 gallons/ hr.
Lower power, very lean, down to 10, so average with reasonable engine management , 12.
