ILS RWY 26 @CYKF , meaning of "NO PT" ?

Does anyone know why the approach plate says "NO PT" , yet there is the 45 degree barb showing how to do the procedure turn, and the profile view says to complete the procedure turn within 6nm of the FAF?

No PT means that a procedure turn isn't required, not that it isn't allowed.

If you don’t conduct a procedure turn, you need to adhere to the altitude associated with the “NO PT”.

Simply means no procedure turn is required even though one is depicted and if you are going to do one (not sure why you would because the approach requires ATC radar or GNSS) it must be completed within 6 miles of the FAF DAXUN.

Adhere to doesn’t mean maintain. 2000 with an underline means at above 2000 ft. 2000 with a a line above and below means maintain 2000 ft. 2000 with a line above means 2000 or below.

My point being, that if you cross the IF at 3000' or are vectored to intercept the localizer inside the IF at 3000' you can maintain 3000' until intercepting the glideslope, (unless you elect to miss prior to that for some reason). There is no requirement in this case to decend to 2000' after passing the IF.

You are also not required to conduct a straight in approach from the IF, you could still complete a procedure turn, but need the appropriate ATC clearance for either one.

The chart note to complete the procedure turn within 6nm is a reference to obstacle protection limits only.
