While I have the greatest respect for Mr. Ward's accomplishments, I certainly would not call him the "Father of Bush Flying". There were many pilots flying the north in the 20's, 30's and 40's who accomplished heroic deeds with long careers.

I used to help him load the twin otter with wood and stuff. He was 65 then or so? Would out-work me! (not difficult mind you)
