Interesting!gigglybearings wrote:I recently heard from a good source that IMP of Halifax (parent company of Canjet) is purchasing Kelowna Flightcraft. This would be very interesting as they both have large military contracts. KFC also does alot of maintenance for Canjet. This should be good for Canjet as they must have some maintenance checks coming up.This would also give KFC a chance to do maintenance in YHZ.
(There is Kelowna Flightcraft in Kelowna, Ontario Flightcraft in Hamilton and now Halifax Flightcraft maybe)

Uhh...IMP Group does a half a billion dollars a year in sales...employs over 3500 people worldwide...KFC employs about 850...laststandingpilot wrote:Just dont see it, KFC is a much bigger and better company than Canjet. Are you sure its not KFC buying Canjet?
But, probably all just a rumor someone started just to see how far it will go.

I am sure that many people will correct me if my information is wrong, but last spring, Canjet was shopping around to be sold ie to WJ. No joy there. Canjet is more likely to be sold than bought. Let's here it.complexintentions wrote:Uhh...IMP Group does a half a billion dollars a year in sales...employs over 3500 people worldwide...KFC employs about 850...laststandingpilot wrote:Just dont see it, KFC is a much bigger and better company than Canjet. Being one of Ken Rowe's companies, I'm sure CanJet and any other IMP ventures are ALWAYS for sale if the price is right.
But seeing as CanJet is acquiring a/c, hiring pilots and F/A's, and continuing to slowly expand, I'm not sure what may or may have not been true last spring, has to do with....anything.
But please do let us know anything else you "here"!!
Here's what I heard....that the pilots were all just given raises to help address the fact that several have left. Trying to be more competitive with wages doesn't sound like a company looking to be sold, to me!
