I've heard Flair has dropped the 2 year bond? Any truth to that?

I doubt it. My friend who got a June 6 groundschool still mentioned the bond. If they have its VERY new.

Was in April 5th GS, no bond. Current CBA doesn’t have a training bond, not sure about the new CBA that is still under negotiation. My friend is also in June 6th GS, there is no training bond in his offer letter nor did they mention a bond. Seems like some misinformation floating around.

Sounds like a bad rumour.

The only "bond" I had seen was that they no longer accept LOA's and want to see your resignation. I was willing to provided 2.5 years (min), and that wasn't sufficient.

Hmm.. maybe I’m misremembering. They did ask for proof of resignation, which now that he mentioned LOA’s kinda makes sense. I thought it was weird at the time.

Are there are any plans to get travel benefits for families? Like zed fares etc.

Whats the likelihood that Flair will survive? I have 1800 hours and applied there. How long before I receive a call?

Hi, does anyone know if YVR’s base is seniority based or you need to bid for it after been hired? What’s the possibility for the first year FO get YVR based? Thanks!

There are flair family benefits, pretty standard. Zed fare is coming based in a couple months I believe.

Thats up for you to decide. If you think flair will survive hopefully you'll get hired and you'll enjoy your time here. If you don't want to take the risk go apply else where you think has better job security. Nobody can give you an answer whether or not a company will fold or not.

Everything is seniority based. Not sure what the need is for crews in each base. That depends on growth in tails and capacity in each base. If you don't get YVR, you might get YXX which is still fine for anyone living in the lower mainland.

Wondering what hiring is like these days. Currently just shy of 2000 hours TT with around 1200 hours large jet (CRJ) time and ATPL.
Is this currently competitive? And would an upgrade still be considered at 4000 TT?
Thanks.

Yes and yes, hit the Flair website and fill in the application! Lots of courses planned for the next year is what I hear.

--700/900 is over 75T so would be considered "large" by many employers who look for 60T + time

Hmm. The C-series is just shy of 70T and the Max 8 is about 82.

Wiki lists the RJ900 at 38T. Were you thinking lbs?

Hello,

I was just looking at the Flair website. It seems like on the original website, the requirement for FO is 1500TT with ATPL, but on the newer hiring page, the requirement is 1000TT with SAMRA SARON written.

I'm wondering realistically is there any sense for guys with sub 1500 to apply since Flair is probably flooded by resumes. I am currently just over 1400TT with SAMRA/SARON completed.

Thank you very much

Short answer yes. I had fewer hours than that and was given an interview, same with a few others I know. If you want it, go for it

Hi, do you mind if I ask how long did it take you to get your call? I’m at around 1350TT and sent my resume and cover letter in late May. Haven’t heard anything back yet. Might just be my experience not competitive enough, but still curious and trying to be hopeful!
