All Canada Express 727s

Post by carholme »

Would anybody have any knowledge as to the disposition of the All Canada Express fleet of 727 freighters?

Not sure which one this is because the pics have conflicting construction numbers but the same foreign registration.

4 planes:

1- Left Hamilton in December, went for a paint job in Miami and is now flying for a company in Nigeria (c-facr) (both pictures)

2-c-faca is in Hamilton and I think it can't fly without a C check or something.

3-c-facn is on the north end (Skycharter) hangar in YYZ and it's all taped out and has no engines.

4-C-fack is sitting right beside ACN, all engines OK.

There was also this -100, ACX, but it was taken to Quebec in 2004, or early 2005, dismantled and many of its parts are in the 4 airplanes mentioned above or in your local tool store as a brand new chainsaw.

There are no ACE 727s with Black & Red stripes (I assume you are refering to Cargojet colours).

Never said I'm following them, simply what the CJT intent was and whether or not they're part of the fleet (which they are not).

The only "ex-ACE" aircraft in the CJT fleet are actually two aircraft that are leased from UPSCO and formerly operated 500/501 back in the day for ACE.

And yes, CJT will be assuming the BAX run next week.

Where is that to? I saw a Cargojet machine in Newark this morning, which surprised me. Good to see things moving along!

"Fr8 dawg must be following the old Ace planes around to know the exact location??" LOL

Well, Rat, I was actually chasing some other tails, (just across the street) when I spotted those two sadly sitting by the hangar. . .

The CJ in EWR is on the Newark-Bermuda rum, I mean, run.

Gelbisch,

The BAX run is YYZ-YMX-TOL-YMX-YYZ and starts next Monday.

Fr8dawg is correct, EWR-BDA-EWR daily. Just started to add Canadian ground feeds into EWR to service BDA. Run is doing well.

11th freighter enters the system in about 3 weeks.

Well, well, you must be following too many birds around to know these things!! :) you must be buddies with "Cargodog"? Do you guys go for beers together and talk about all these things?? and your favorite spot might be airport strip right across the skycharter asbestos infested hangar? who's the owner of that hangar by the way?

cargojet maybe doing ok, but they are actually just All Canada Express. The company is kinda like a crab. Just scraping off the bottom. I look forward to when they can have some vision and generate a run on there own.

However I am happy that this Canadian company is doing as well as it is. I will be truly proud when the business development department gets off their asses and can generate a Heavy contract. Canada is in need of some big iron like what ACE was trying to do. Whom ever shows up with the first piece of big iron wins. The contracts will walk right into the cargo door.

Pretty sure that CargoJet worked pretty fucking hard to get what they have. I was around for their inception and I know that they built upon a sound foundation. Sorry about ACE and all but we all know that aviation takes no prisoners...
