Newbie here...just retired at 39years old (sold my business) and looking to get my RPP or PPL in Canada.
Just wanna fly with wife and under 180hp so RPP is fine, but would prefer to get PPL for obvious reasons.
The issue...
I have back pain and take morphine (no-fly) for the last 9years, and probably the rest of my life but a low dose.
I pass all my medicals to drive super b (semi) and licensed for everything from ambulance to school bus restriction free.
I also carry a license for explosives and firearms (no mental health issues... You think you get screened as a pilots...get an explosive license lol.
* maybe 1 mental health issue is hoping to blow all my money on flying
0 addiction issues
0 drowsiness issues
0 blood pressure issues
Don't Drink or smoke weed
Ect.ect.
Fully monitored constantly from drs and pain specialists due to the prescription for any abuse ect.
But!
I assume I am pretty much fd and still won't passes my class 3 medical due to the prescription. Maybe class 4 too?
Waiting on a call back from T.C dr
Waiting on more info from approved medical examiners.
Not willing to lie or bend the rules..so don't bother commenting that as an option. (Kinda dumb to void insurance and lose millions of $ to lawyers ect.)
Thoughts, ideas? Is it a case by case review or am I wasting my time, and need to stick to Ultra-lights..or am i fd?
Posted from my cell phone...so no grammar or spelling police plz lol...
Thanks for all you help and ideas in advance...might not be what I wanna hear but thanks for that too!
