Re: KFC is starting a new passenger charter airline
How about flight attendants and ramp rats making more than a 4 year flat pay FO at “established” carriers?
The new carriers understand the market and adapt. 1970’s labor agreement mentality seems to prevail at established carriers.
Sunwing, Swoop, Transat, Cargojet and Flair have solid lifestyle contracts with good pay triggers. A few GDO flights per month and established airline pay scales are a bit light in comparison.
If you are a 12 year FO on a 737, you must be in Canada!!

Are you really putting Transat in the same basket as Cargojet, Flair, Swoop ?SMD wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 6:10 pm How about flight attendants and ramp rats making more than a 4 year flat pay FO at “established” carriers?

Terrible flat pay for junior FO is an AC problem only. Also, if you need to fly on GDO to make up for salary I dont call that 'solid lifestyle contract''. But with KFC, Flair and Swoop pay, yes you'll probably need to fly on GDOs.
Tell me when an FA earns more than 93 500$ base pay.
Re: KFC is starting a new passenger charter airline
Swoop, Sunwing etc make pay after 9-12 days. 4-6 GDO’s on your own terms is a pretty fair trade off. Cargojet caps their flying at 15 days unlike the new entrant who bumped their days to 18.
Cargojet was also paying double x 2 for GDO flying. Are you familiar with that term? No? Maybe sharpen your pencil and do the math then ask your “union” why you gave cargo up for candy. Justify that to yourselves with that 10% pay cut.
If the AC pilots had any spine they would help their furloughed pilots with a year of hire flat pay instead of year of service pay but that won’t happen.. eat the young.
Ask any senior FA at AC how much they make and maybe the lights will come on. If you don’t know this, I hate to tell you but Darth Vader is Luke’s father,

KFC New pilot CBA just announced by ALPA, http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?do=m ... 3aaa1f124e
would love to see the new agreement. Hopefully it helps them attract pilots for the new move.
