Did they paint it all white so they could be inconspicuous?

I'll try to post a pic or two as soon as I figure out how to shrink them. What good is a 5 mp camera when it comes to uploading anyway?

Well, with all due respect for the technological chalenges needed to overcome the problems that arise during the design of such a big bird, it's a classic example of BIG being NOT beautiful (yet probably economical to operate)

I find that it looks like a big dildo with wings.

Just a question of time till somebody who's good with photoshop posts an interesting paintjob <hint hint>

If you have winXP, microsoft's image resizer works well. just right click on the picture file and go to "resize pictures"

It looks like Iqaluit is too balmy for testing this week. Too bad that beast needs such a long (and wide) runway. Not alot of options for it.

Hydro: Were you in town when the 777 was here? That sucker barely fit, and caused huge headaches. The A380? No way...

Hey!!

If you go on airliners.net and search for A380, you get 20+ pages of pics of the bird...

Looks like they painted it white so they could hide in snowstorms easier. Does Iqaluit have enough fuel and hotel space for the airplane and crew?

Affirm, They only brought about 40 people with them.

Thanks for the info on posting pics. I used to use yahoo, but they invalidate their links every few days so I had to keep re-updating them to keep the pics on here. I'll try a few more options and post the ones I have as soon as I get a moment. Life just got a great deal busier today... :)

The interesting thing I heard about the big bus is that from the A320 to the 380 (or any of their other busses) is only a 1 week conversion course. Pretty impressive foresight on the part of the french eh?

So if the power goes out in YFB, they can give almost everybody in town a warm place to sit until the generator gets fixed. They could take everyone from the town I live in with just one trip! Awesome!

If need be I can host them on my server for you, co-joe... but judging by the number of hits on this thread, that may be a bad idea if they're of any significant size. PM me if you can't get them up elsewhere!
