US Regional Pay
Someone on reddit made a comparrison chart of US regional pay. Someone in Canada should add Canadian regionals to it.

Also add the average cost of a small single detached home next to all the bases at the bottom. Say within a 30 min drive of the airport.

What does this "bonus" word mean? Is that when the airline cuts your pay 10% forever?RRJetPilot wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:42 am Someone on reddit made a comparrison chart of US regional pay. Someone in Canada should add Canadian regionals to it.

Re: US Regional Pay
They have real flow through there to the majors and the cost of living is less, and way less taxation although those gains are diminishing as of late.

Re: US Regional Pay
Don’t be so dramatic! A new hire at air Canada won’t be paying 100k in taxes. They will only have to pay about 10k. Then about 4K in property taxes, 13 percent for HST and hopefully they don’t have to drive because there’s also taxes on that with the carbon cherry on top tax that gets worked into basically everything you purchase. When it’s all said and done that Kraft dinner looks really nice with some fine 57 on top.

Why don't you try flying for a regional and filling all of your days off with a second job and tell us again how we're wasting our time.ReturnoftheMike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 11:34 pm Why do you all waste your time comparing to the US

Re: US Regional Pay
But do they get to fly cargo? They missed out on capturing flying. Maybe next time they should consider a 10 percent pay slump!

Re: US Regional Pay
I can’t wait for the moment AC guys that voted yes to the cargo ops realize a US regional check A cpt makes more than double what their 767 captains make after exchange rate is factored in
Re: US Regional Pay
Lol honestly. I’d love nothing more than to see a brain drain from this country in every industry, not just aviation. Only way for anyone who came after Gen X to make it in this country is to be a landlord and hoard properties, or be born into wealth.WellThatAgedWell wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 12:38 pmBut do they get to fly cargo? Re: US Regional Pay
Just to cement it: it’s both Piedmont and Envoy now.
BREAKING:
Piedmont Airlines to now establish record high regional airline pilot pay alongside Envoy.
Proposed First Officer Rates:
- 1st year: $90/hr
- 2nd year: $97/hr
- 3rd year: $105/hr
Proposed Captain Rates:
- 1st year: $146/hr
- 2nd year: $153/hr
- Top: $213/hr
Guarantee: 75 hours
First year FO higher than a Jazz Captain if I’m not mistaken, before you factor in conversion.

Also the regionals down south are now announcing full Years of Service for pilots when the flow to mainline. Incredible. Will this wave of improving wawcons spread to Canada I wonder.

Probably not, more likely we’ll see TFWs flying here I figure.Canadaflyer46 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 4:50 pm Will this wave of improving wawcons spread to Canada I wonder.
Re: US Regional Pay
Nah, there will be layoffs by the end of the year due to the coming financial meltdown/hyper inflation/food&fuel shortages.

Re: US Regional Pay
Through the leadership of our experienced elected minority that are righteously representative of 26% of the house of land barons, they duly will ensure the survivability of this airline through continued concessions
All you delusional & lost souls that expect big raises need a reality check. We need to ensure flying is secured from the hands of low life competitors by keeping our compensation at reasonable rates.
The corporate overloads need their earned bonuses to keep them within reach of their industry peers at Delta & United.
