I believe it's 'Rankin Inlet' and I lived just down the beach at Whale Cove in the early '70's. Hard to say what it's like there now but back then it was very isloated with weekly supply runs and very few white folks. Get to know the locals and enjoy your stay, I'm sure they'll treat you well and you'll have a great life experience you'll remember forever. I'd love to go back and spend some time there for a season or two.

I have a few friends working up there right now. From what I hear its pretty good and they seem to enjoy it. They've been there for two years now. Take a look at the weather channel though, I seem to remember something about it being a little nippy up there!

I spend half my time in Rankin, its a nice community. All the air ports in the Kivalliq region are great, good strips, approaches, vasis with CARS guys in them all. Good winter maintence as well. As for the weather its been pretty good so far this year but it is the artic.

PM me if you have any specific questions.
