Post by Bede »

Would you guys be interested in a private forum to discuss matter that perhaps should be kept to employees only?

I'm in favour of separate, but not private, forums for Air Canada and Jazz topics.

Just remember when you wern't on with AC or Jazz.... let me tell you despite the occasionnal stress headache from all the speculation that goes on at this site... all the information and rumor that you guys spin out is extremely helpful to assist those of us that are just about to move up to AC or Jazz (or return from the states....). So just think of the little people, and where you once came from!

And I was just contemplating making a financial contribution to this forum, but I wont if I get locked out of what I’m supporting.

No private formus.
There are other websites for those.

The idea behind this not to block any information from reaching everyone, this forum would still stay. I feel there is some information that should probably be kept amongst employees. For example if a management memo comes out, it is probably best discussed employees only. I don't think the VP Flt Ops would appreciate the content of his newsletter, or even his name mentioned on a public forum.

At a large company it is often intimidating when you don't know who to ask certain questions to, such as "what is the next day crew sked desk?", or a very common one, "my company issued luggage broke already, what do I do?" Usually the chief pilots are to busy to answer these sorts questions.

The majority of threads on this forum are non confidential and would remain on the public forum.
