float flying in the caribean or south pacific...
I was wondering if anyone knows of some air services I could apply to in either the caribean or south pacific. I have no IFR and all I can do is fly beaver's or cessna. 1400 hrs. 500 pic on a dhc-2. Is it wishful thinking? I don't know, I've looked around on the net but have obviosely been looking in all the wrong places.
But yeah, I'd love to move somewhere hot...

Got a former student flying down in Fiji, sounds like your time might be in line with them. I'd be there myself if i could. Money ain't great but he seems to have enjoyed his 'tour'!!
Aviation- the hardest way possible to make an easy living!

I'm currently in Fiji and I have to say I've had the time of my life here. I was only supposed to be here for 6 months and I ended up staying 2 years. It's a great place with great people and the flying - well - isn't too bad either. Pay is low end, especially if you've got lots of Beaver or Otter time already. But if you're looking for a sweet paid holiday for a year then this is the place. I'll be leaving soon and it's not because of the scenery - I will be sad to go.
The word that best describes this place is - Debauchery. It's a little like the wild wild west sometimes. Anything goes, anytime.
If you're interested then PM me or forward a resume to chiefpilot@pacisair.com.fj
Happy freezing.......I mean.... flying

I wrote to turtle a few times. They never seem to write back, they must get swamped by e-mails...swedish girls...holy sh't, all I ever flew were 300 pound fishermen. Although they did tip nice.
I guess the flying would be difficult when you're always turned around groping the passengers.
Has anyone ever heard of flying in south america? My sister went down to Honduras and said there were lots of young pilots down there, but I don't know if they were flying floats or not.
