You would think? You would hope. They hire from outside ALL the time. I feel terrible for the ramp guys and FO's who keep seeing jobs going to strangers. But, that's aviation...

I talked to a fellow who called them the other day. He got routed to the CP's voice mail. He was so disgusted with the greeting from the CP, he didn't bother leaving a message, instead he just hung up. Quite arrogant from what I understand.

I didn't think it was that bad- it is kind of funny. It just said you've reached Mr. CP congradulations you've gotten through the filters in place to avoid unwanted calls. It doesn't even single out pilots calls.

I chuckled at it, but thats me.

Cheers- GTF

Having standards is one thing. Taking yourself too seriously is another. Tell your friend to relax a little j.a.p.

I'll take a rough pilot over an arrogant one any day.

I've never heard the message myself. As for myself, I stopped taking aviation personally years ago. Best to have a thick skin.

If the CP has a name simular to a YHM university, he's a pretty good chap. BTW, ramp guys are usually a little light on time for a Caravan job.

You mean this one? :)

I thought his voice mail was pretty funny considering it came from a guy who could have a full time job sorting resumes and taking phone calls from applicants if he weren't already a line pilot. But that's just me.
