hey guys just have a couple questions about breaking into the corporate world of aviation. I have my comm multi ifr 260tt and i want to fly corporate. What's the best way to go about flying corporate? Do they hire lower time pilots? Or are there insurance mins. high? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

your probably lookin somewhere in the 3000 - 4000 hour range to get an interview. Most of your time should be concentrated on turbine equipment. instructor time will probably not count

or you could work as lineman for a year or two, earn a good reputation and know the chief pilot, that could also get you into the company, at least onto the lower end turboprops they have.

low and over, my two cents is to get yourself at least 1000PIC before looking for a coporate job. there are all sorts of pilots out there with a brazillion hours TT and no PIC to speak of. They are career co-pilots unless the particular company they work for has a machine or two to let them build PIC. It is a dirty little secret that no one speaks of in the industry. With 1000PIC you can move up in a corporat flight department.
