Blocktime vs instructing
Hello aviators,
I enjoy teaching people to fly but currently my class 4 is expired . Also have a cheap blocktime available to me to build some more time before applying at outfits.
I’m leaning towards renewing my instructor rating as I see they’d rather look at someone that instructed than someone flying around in circles.
I instructed before and still enjoy it, just what others would do.
Thanks

if you are on the ground I guess there is now way but to look up!

You already have an (expired) flight instructor rating? No brainer. Instruct.
Commercial experience is much more valuable than private experience.

/\ What he said. Plus it gets you connected to the industry so you are more likely to build contacts and find out about jobs if you are working. The schools are already starting to to hurt for instructors as heavy hiring from all the Part 7 operators are starting to clean out the schools. You probably won't have any trouble finding a job instructing
