if my medical exam is due for class1, but still valid for class 3, can i still fly as a private pilot (vs CPL ) ?
Re: class 1 vs class 3 medical
Yes, but if I may say --
You have a category 1 medical, exam was on X date. It never turns into a category 3, never becomes "valid for" category 3, never any other way of saying the same thing.
You can exercise CPL and PPL privileges for 1 year (or 6 months) from X date, followed by only PPL privileges for a further 4 years (or 1 year).
