Stop comparing Canada to the US. We have free world class health care and our children don't have to go to school fearing a mass shooting. Blah blah blah... capture the flying ...blah blah blah

Re: US Regionals pay vs Canada
I know this is sarcasm. But if this was really anyones argument it's the income tax that pays for our healthcare, not corporations.
As far as my understanding, corporate tax rate in Canada is lower than the US. So yes lots of variables at play that are beyond my complete understanding. It seems like the airlines here get a free ride, and all the employees are hosed with taxes to pay for the mediocre health system we have. I don't see any reasons a direct comparison to the US can't be done.

The 3 year and 5 year pay+retention seems wrong at Air Canada.

No one is upgrading year 3 at AC anymore.
And most of those US hourly rates are wrong and out dated.

So you're saying the disparity is even worse. That just reinforces my point. If you have more current info, feel free to share.negative_g wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 1:57 pmNo one is upgrading year 3 at AC anymore.
