Been this way for over a week now. Rolls in @ night and burns off in the a.m. Nice during the day for fishing though. :P

A pacific low pressure system will move into southern Alberta today producing snow this afternoon and into Sunday morning. Local heavy snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are likely with this system.

A winter storm watch is an alert of the potential development of severe winter weather. Persons in or near these areas should be prepared for developing adverse weather conditions and should listen for updated watches and possible warnings.

I gotta say it feels good when there is sh!t weather down south while it is gorgeous up north.

Are you there? What did you expect in the Arctic in March, that same warning could be issued pretty much any time of the year around there.

Not there ..... just a reply to the post that compared the weather in the North to the current wx in YYC. As I said, it depends where you are in the North. 8)

Missed in Springbank this morning. 1/2 mile and 700 feet. I'm betting that I was the first ever missed approach into springbank (they only got an instrument approach a couple weeks ago) As soon as we got on the Loc for YYC 34 what a difference. they were calling +6 miles and like 3000 scattered. Looking west, just about at C.O.P. it was a wall of cloud/fog.

Ya, I got my fishing in on friday. froze my nuts off. no vasman needed now..haha.

It should warm up this week again. Hope it doesnt cloud up the river that much. any "flyfishers" on here want to head down to fish creek with me Wednesday??
