It’s not a conspiracy theory … it’s not misinformation and disinformation or whatever the latest statement is these days.
Our industry has barely recovered … fuel prices are rising and some pilots can’t even get a medical in under a year. I don’t see consumer confidence being great either ..
Are some going to be laid off ( again) before they return to work after the last round?
I see this one as being a bit of a coin toss given that we’re in a so called pilot labor shortage.
I wouldn’t want to be holding a low seniority number that’s for sure …
Canada headed for a severe recession. How bad will the layoffs be?

Well, we're not in a recession yet. Unemployment is still dropping, and the economy hasn't contracted (yet). Even this economist predicts that the next rate hike will be the last one. Interest rates are 3.25%, which is still pretty low for anyone with a memory beyond 14 years (https://wowa.ca/bank-of-canada-interest-rate).

This may be the first recession where everyone has a job and people still want to go places. Maybe less business travel but definitely on vacation.
