There is no revisiting the Transat deal; is was turned down by an outside body(EU). it deemed the transaction would eliminate competiton on the Atlantic routes

It wasn't turned down by the EU, they imposed such conditions that AC decided it wasn't worth it to persue.

Yes like having to give up so many trans atlantic slots that it wasnt worthwhile. I can't see why they would suddenly change that stance

Not impossible. Buying transat when no one knew how long it would take for travel tonget back was suicidal. Now that everything is up and running, buying Transat could male sens again and be worth some slots concessions. Transat has a good fleet and pilots trained on it, and with the XLR delayed until at least 2025 trz could be a solution.
