Should they not be promoting doing this sort of thing over Zoom or was the subject something that they wouldn’t want hackers to leak?

Of course not. They don’t care about “climate change” They just want to find new ways to suck every last cent out of you and me. Rich nations paying poor nations….. Does that smell like WEF one world government shit or what?

You can't take selfies with world leaders over Zoom.

This is just a glorified photo op - makes everyone look good. Jmho.

We are being played once again - there is no 'Climate Emergency'

It looks there is though....

On a side note while it sounds pretty silly to use private jets to attend a meeting trying to tackle Climat issues like it or not these are people who can accomplish a lot more for society, in general and in a short span, than us mere mortal.

Of course these heads of Sates don't always act in a positive way but still. You want things to progress!? Vote for the proper Ones and give them the means to do so in an efficient way.

Travelling by horses and chariots or sail boats is not.

100%.

A few private jets is not the climate problem. It's the people driving to work everyday in large pick up's and SUVs not carpooling. It's small families living extravagantly in 2500 sq ft homes when they only need the space of 600 sq ft.

We need these leaders to come together to find creative ways to change people's minds about how to live. They are the ones who can implement carbon taxes to make it to expensive to live beyond reasonable means. They are the ones who can afford to advertise the climate issue and make people want to change. The problem is, especially in North America people live beyond what the average person should be allowed to have. It's like masks, you can't just recommend them... Not enough people will do it. If you want people to think about climate change you can't recommend they do it, you need climate mandates. Like right off the bat I don't know why people are allowed to drive huge diesel trucks blowing smoke everywhere.

Using that type of thinking and words like “allowed” to drive a big truck makes me want to ask you why don’t you go live in Cuba or North Korea for a while. Then come back and tell us all how great Communism works. Until the you should probably keep your mouth shut as you clearly live in a Van or your parents basement and made poor life choices. There is no “climate emergency”. Biggest scam ever. Go buy an electric car and make yourself feel better.

Anyway…in anything, strong leadership sets the tone, leads from the front, sets the example by doing, not talking.

Always has been, always will be the way.

How could you even say this. A typical private jet flight on say a challenger on a one hour flight from Boston to New York will produce the same emissions a family of 4 living in the "mortifying" 2500 sq ft home will produce in ONE YEAR. Then they will go to one of their 10,000 sq foot homes with 50 acres of land space. But noooooo the family of 4 is the problem.

Do you know how many private jets fly in the USA everyday? Europe? Asia?
I've flown empty legs to pick up a DOG. Think about that. All the paper straws you are forced to shove up your mouth and I flew an annoying black lab essentially wiping any progress you've made.

Stop sympathizing with rich people and blaming the rest of the world on the climate crisis.

People drive to work everyday (In North America) due to poor city planning, partially due to car manufacturers lobbying for it. Try taking the bus and train for your everyday activities during winter in Edmonton and let me know how that works out for you. There is not a single North American city with a transit system that can work as fluidly as a European city. Even rich people take transit in Europe because of how efficient it is. Again, stop blaming the rest of us and blame the corporate pigs that put us in this mess.
