i'm bored, so i'll add to any info you got from the search. Good company. people are happy. 1000 hrs, I believe to go FO PC12. Shouldn't have to work the ramp if they like you. However, you might want try that search function. lots has been said about this co. on this forum.

BSG is new CP, former Wasaya 748 Capt. Awesome guy, really enjoyed my talks with him in the YPL crew house. Brian is a honest, fair guy. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Gill was a great guy as well, hope he enjoys YUL in the Van.

Cheers.

P.S LH... get off your butt and go knock on some doors. YQT is only 18 hrs drive from YYZ. Find out where the pilots local watering hole is (hint ask on this website) buy some guys drinks and they may help ya out. Nothing like breaking the ice by buying drinks insted of PPCs.

As Wally said, ballpark minimum for direct entry F/O at NAC has been around 1000 hours in the past. Part of the reason we hired direct entry is that we had a ton of movement over the last year, and it's always better to hire direct entry F/O's (for quick upgrades) than Captains. Having said that, I'd be surprised if we lose many more people in the near future.

We've moved five or six "wannabes" (hate that term, but c'est la vie) onto the flight line since January, and have at least seven more waiting their turn. Unless there's expansion or a surprise exodus, there shouldn't be a need for any direct entry F/O's, as the next group of upgrade candidates are busy building their hours as fast as possible in order to meet requirements.

Salary is decent, work conditions are good. Bases in YQT, YXL, and YWG (surprisingly, YXL is almost our senior base)...good place to work, GREAT people to work with. Yes, JG will definitely be missed, but I think we're all pretty thrilled with who we've got running the show now as well.

Isn't the term "direct entry" usually used in reference to captains? WTF is a "direct entry" FO?? That's pretty much where they're spossed to "enter"? Isn't it?

Doc,
Think the norm is "direct entry" Ramp.

What, are the days gone now where one had to "lurk" for that elusive ramp job?

you said the salary was good as an FO at NAC......would you care to post it for all to see? Thanks

I didn't say good, I said decent. ;) Industry-standard would be another way to say it, and that says more about the industry than it does about the company.

Would be nice if we could ALL make more money...

Hey swerved, Don't be shy to use the term "wannabe"! I am a "wannabe" or "don't wannabe" whichever way you look at it, and it dosn't bother me!
