Re: Salary Survey 2022
703 medevac 6+years, left seat plus training duties, non management. One week on, one week off.
Haven't done the exact math yet but should do about $210,000 this year.
Includes base rate, mileage, bonus, per diems, and a little overtime but not much. Benefits on top of that yet.

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Re: Salary Survey 2022
Was 705 left seat (year 4) making 95k (without perdiem and overtime). Now year 1, 705 right seat making 56k. By the looks of this thread I should have stayed 703...
Re: Salary Survey 2022
604. Less than 300 hours a year. Just north of 200k, adjusted for inflation every year. No office work. Show up, fly plane, clean it up, go home. Top shelf benefits and retirement.
Please drop any mention of per diem, it’s embarrassing.

Re: Salary Survey 2022
Should add AC type as 703 left seat could be a C185 C208 or king air etc
I guess I should write something here.

Re: Salary Survey 2022
I am unfamiliar, does 604 include management companies as well or is it straight corporate ?
Re: Salary Survey 2022
Why?
$5k a year tax free and I barely spend any of it on the road because I’m home every night.
Stop mentioning hours. I do less than 300 a year. But I also have 15 days a month I can plan for that I don’t have to be available at all plus vacation, sick days. personal days, etc.
I also don’t clean. That’s embarrassing.

It's funny, per diems shouldn't be mentioned, until your employer stops offering them, then all of a sudden they'll be looking for companies that offer per diems‘Bob’ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 12:41 pmWhy?

Per diems are legally required by the government for employees that travel away from their base, regardless of profession. In fact you can google the amount required to be paid, it’s just over 90$ a day as of 2022 I believe. Don’t act like they are doing you a favour by paying it.

Re: Salary Survey 2022
703 left seat. Multi turbine machine.
Hired in march on the right seat, went left seat start of sept.
Just over 44k at this place since march. Full year in the left seat will be about 75k-85k. I'll report back in 365
Made about 6k at my prior place in jan/feb, 3k/mo.

Re: Salary Survey 2022
I would love to see a reference that requires an employer to pay 90 dollars a day per diem. The link you provided shows the maximum allowance for tax deductions etc. It's not a required minimum.YHZCL wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 2:23 pm*Edited to add link.digits_ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 1:14 pmIt's funny, per diems shouldn't be mentioned, until your employer stops offering them, then all of a sudden they'll be looking for companies that offer per diems‘Bob’ wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 12:41 pm

704 19 Seat Turboprop. Base around 74k. With some OT and training pay it’ll be closer to 100k gross.
