Old Collective Agreements
I'm wondering if anyone has any leads on old AC, Canadian, CP, etc collective agreements. If you are willing to share or know where I can get them, I'd appreciate a PM and I'll share my email address.
I need them for union research.

Re: Old Collective Agreements
I found ones dating back to the early 90s on the negotech website… I don’t know about older than that, although I am sure there are people who have them stashed away somewhere!

This is Air Canada Pay Rates in 2003 compared to what they would be today if their wages kept up with inflation. This is eye opening. It hasn’t always been so bad in Canada. I hope we can get back to these scales one day.

To those saying "we can't compare ourselves to the American market"
Well, some of those 2003 numbers, NOT adjusted for inflation, are the same, if not better (Early YR FO rates) then today's AC rates
Everyone knows it's bad, but after seeing these numbers, this is beyond eye opening...
Re: Old Collective Agreements
I'll see if I can dig up my old AO collective agreement. In 2000, 7th year Captain pay for the Dash 8-300 was $99.00 an hour. Indexed for inflation that's $157.00. I believe F/O pay was $42,000 a year for first year. Indexed that's $67,000.

Re: Old Collective Agreements
I kept the collective agreements for all the major Canadian carriers circa 2002. I put them in storage, with my closed files in YWG sometime around 2005. Not sure if I still have them stored, as I did purge a lot of those files after seven years. I will be back in WG next week and will advise.

Thanks Ray. That would be of great help.Raymond Hall wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 11:23 pm I kept the collective agreements for all the major Canadian carriers circa 2002. Re: Old Collective Agreements
Thanks. That's essentially what I'm doing but I'd like to go back longer and a bit more extensive (vacation, pension, etc)Dronepiper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 12:48 pm This is Air Canada Pay Rates in 2003 compared to what they would be today if their wages kept up with inflation. It blows my mind how much we've lost over the years.

Re: Old Collective Agreements
What I find so different about the Delta pay scale is how flat they are from year 1-12. Only $20-30/h from year 1 to year 12. There is a lot of pressure to change types to move up significantly. You must do 10 new type courses in a full career there, close to 2 years spent on course. Nice numbers though.

The way I see it is when you start up ahead, you don’t really have to play a lot of catch up.co-joe wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 3:23 am What I find so different about the Delta pay scale is how flat they are from year 1-12.
