Insurance

Post by Buschpielot »

Hello All,

I've been out of the loop for a couple of years but would like to get back flying next spring. Can anyone help me out with the insurance minimums for float operators these days? I've heard eveything from 50 to 250 even 500 hrs for a 180/85. I know this varies from operator to operator depending on their history and insurance company, but are there any general guidelines? I have 1000TT with 150 on floats.

Not to start a bashing thread or anything, but I happen to know the guy who left that company a few weeks ago and have heard some of the horror stories of what led him to leave, so probably best to stay clear.
