Getting a start in Montreal

Hello all, just wondering if anyone has any info on companies that offer ramp work / hire low timers in the montreal area. just curious to see if there is a way around instructing. Thank you

It all depends how much low time we're talking about. I heard a rumours that SkyService was looking for LearJet co-jo with somewhere around 1000hrs tt.

Pascan hires low time, and I think Nolinor hires ramp and Dx guys with low time (not sure about that one). Other than that to fly out of YUL you need some time, and need to speak French.

Considering the owner, DFO and chief pilote are not bi-lingual, I would venture a gess: No. but don't quote me

LOL, if they don't like you they will say you need it, if you're their buddy, they'll turn a blind eye to it...

Air Inuit has taken folks from ramping/dispatch but I would be looking for something else meantime....it's not their usual way of getting co pilots...

it's not their usual way of getting co pilots...
I was told from those in the know to expect about two years, possibly two and a half working in dispatch before you got a shot at a pilot position.
