The only mentions of type are "to culminate in 2025 with entry into passenger service of ATR 72" and "Connect...placed a first-position U.S. order with Universal Hydrogen to convert 75 ATR 72-600". Both are accurate statements as the 'production model' with be an ATR72 and the initial work on it will be done in Europe (France?).
The DHC-8 is being used for proof of concept and initial testing in the US. I think the article said they chose it over the ATR because it had a larger rudder in case the Hydrogen engine failed.
