Okay… so politicians signed up for more travel options between UAE and CANADA.

This only affects….well…. Two airlines.

If I am not mistaken, Etihad operates to YYZ as well as EK. AC has announced YVR-DXB and WJ was awarded slots YYC-DXB but not sure if that is going to happen as there doesn't seem to be flights available on their website. Any new info on that?

So... maybe 4 airlines?

At any rate, I would say the onward connectivity beyond DXB is the bigger factor.
